These classic men's black plastic eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''ALL-AMERICAN 50[ ]20'' and the arms read ''Criss U.S.A. 6 1/2 NYLON''. The plastic has a nice sheen, very smooth and fresh.
Before any other sport goggles or NBA face masks, there was the Criss All-American! These are the original sport eyeglasses. They're ready for prescription lenses or sunglass lenses and like all Criss frames, they're Nylon, very tough stuff. The bridge is remarkably flexible - no more broken glasses playing basketball or making the play at home plate. Plus, they're made to stay on your head with either the ''riding bow'' temples that curve behind the ear, shown in most the photos here (optional removable elastic back strap, too) or what Criss calls their ''Short Sport'', half-length arms with a built-in elastic head strap. Put on your Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars and your Criss All-American glasses and take a victory lap around the gymnasium!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. The All-American comes in a remarkable variety of colors, including, as you might imagine, RED, WHITE or BLUE rims! They have grey and brown rims, too. The bridge section comes in black, white or tan and the temples come in black, white, red, blue or tan and you can mix and match, too. I don't have all these colors in stock or listed below, but they're available. Please inquire about available color and size combinations. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic so there are no surprises and your glasses will be in mint condition. They make great sport glasses or some wild sunglasses!
If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
